WELCOME
By 9:15 the building is bustling.
The choir may be rehearsing in the Sanctuary,
at least two Transformative Learning classes for Adults are about to begin,
The Coffee Hour Ministry Team is setting up for the Fellowship Time, and children’s teachers are preparing their classrooms,
and the Worship Ministry Team is readying the sanctuary for our Sunday Celebration.
Rich aromas float through the building from the folks of Not Bread Alone who are preparing lunch for those who come by.
The morning is informal. The music is uplifting. Dress is casual. The Joy is great.
Worship begins with a few announcements and welcoming of friends who are visiting.
As we pass God's Peace to one another, we know that God's Peace is spreading around the Earth.
The children join their families for the first fifteen minutes of worship which includes The Word for All Ages, when the children are invited to go forward and hear a story, see a slide show or short movie, and engage in discussion.
The children then leave for their classes and the babies and toddlers go to nursery care. The lessons for the day are read, followed by the sermon. After the sermon, we hold in God’s Light and Love those in our church family, extended family, and our world family who are in need of healing. Worship closes with Sharing the Broken Bread and Cup of Joy.
Worship and Learning continue into a very lively fellowship hour.
