Transformative Learning

We are, and want to be more fully, a church where we experience human transformation - are changed through our experience of God, through learning and through knowing each other - so we are each always continuing to grow as people of faith. Such transformation is for all ages, and will include significant intergenerational learning experiences.

TL Advisory Team

            This group will function as advisors to the Transformative Learning Foundation group.  The team will meet twice a year, mid-fall and mid-spring, to review what has been happening on various ministry teams and to offer suggestions for new topics, new formats, new times.  The co-cordinators, Betsy Howlett betsyw@crocker.com and Tom Lindeman, lindemanjw@aol.com will convene these meetings, until other leadership emerges.  We anticipate that TLAT members will volunteer to be on short-term ministry teams to build a growing Transformative Learning program

Adult Ed Ministry Team 

            Betsy Howlett betsyw@crocker.com is the co-ordinator of the Adult Ed program, planning offerings for the Sunday Morning Forum and the Encountering God series.  The Sunday Morning Forum is a presentation-discussion group meeting in the chapel between 9:30-10:15. The Encountering God series meets in Room 13 between 9:30-10:15 on non-choir Sundays; these classes are intended to allow participants to either open to the experiencing of a relationship between God and us or to express our faith through the arts and through spiritual practices (music, painting, drawing, poetry, writing, flower arranging, chanting, experiencing the Bible in new ways, meditating).  If you have a suggestion for a topic or leader for either class, or for another kind of class, please contact Betsy Howlett directly.
