Lent 2026 Schedule
Lent 2026
The Way of Jesus
Our faith tells us that the way of Jesus is the way to new, fulfilling, joyful, abundant life. The way of Jesus is the way to healing, wholeness, beloved community, and new life for all creation. (Yes, there will be some spiritual and emotional death and dying along the way, but that is not the point.)
The way of Jesus also repudiates the ways of empire or, to put it even more bluntly, the ways of tyranny. Jesus challenged his followers to pledge their allegiance to the laws of Love over and against the laws of hatred, greed, and violence. At key moments in history, at least some elements of the church have taken a costly stand against tyranny. Some Christians have actually chosen to follow the way of Jesus. Lent calls us now to make the same choice, again and again and again.
During this holy season, let’s explore together the way of Jesus and recommit ourselves to following it, individually and as a church. In addition to rich worship services and some powerful new music, we’ll gather for Lenten Lunch discussions almost every Sunday. We hope to see you there!
