“The Stations of the Resurrection,” by Laura James

First Church Amherst is pleased to host an exhibit of prints by artist Laura James, “The Stations of the Resurrection,” beginning during Holy Week and lasting through Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025. This series of ten pieces, on loan from church members, highlights the role of Mary Magdalene as the “apostle to the apostles” or “the first evangelist” in the story of Christ’s resurrection, and includes scriptural excerpts from several translations of the Gospel of John.

The art show will be open for viewing in the First Church chapel after weekly 10:30 a.m. Sunday services during coffee hour. Additional times for viewing will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 23 through June 4. All are welcome. For more information about Laura James and her art, visit www.laurajamesart.com.
