Worship Decoration Team

The worship decoration team helps plan the visual components of worship. We hope that worship not only feeds our minds and our souls, but also feeds all of our senses. We each experience and worship God in different ways. Our worship space as with all aspects of the life of First Church is in the process of transforming, bringing God's love to people of the twenty-first century. Our heritage is deeply rooted in the Puritan tradition, which tended toward simplicity in all things.Throughout the last two centuries, not only have the worshippers changed buildings, but the worship space has undergone many, many changes. As our understanding of God and God's call for us as a worshiping community changes, so our worship space changes. It is in that spirit of Joy that the worship decoration team will begin a new era in the spiritual life of the church by providing a wide variety of visual and or sensual components to help all of us experience God in a wholistic and transcendent way.
