Worship Ministry Team - aka Deacons: 

 

We are, and want to be even more fully, a congregation whose members find comfort, hope, challenge, inspiration, joy and peace in our worship together. We want to experience sacred space where we may come together to celebrate and grieve the large and small moments in our lives, the holy days of the church year, as well as Ordinary time.  We gather in a sanctuary lovingly prepared, sharing word and ritual created with care and discernment. 

 

And in so gathering, we are welcomed, whoever we are, wherever we are on this life’s journey. Together we find ways to deepen and strengthen our relationship to God/Jesus/Spirit, and to each other.

 

         

The Worship Ministry Team prepares the sanctuary for worship services, invites the congregation's participation as scripture readers, acolytes (& more), and, with the pastor, participates in planning worship services.  Those willing to serve occasionally as deacon for a day are invited to let us know. Training is available. This is the team committed to taking care of the worship business long-term.
